Handmade necklaces are the newest part of our range. They are made to order, in the same silk thread and kundan stones as our bangles, so a bride or a guest can wear one matching set from wrist to neck. Handmade necklaces: the styles we make
- Silk thread choker – a thread-wrapped band that sits at the base of the neck, with kundan stones set along the front. Adjustable with a dori (thread tie) at the back.
- Kundan pendant necklace – a single kundan flower or star pendant on a thread-wrapped or chain necklace.
- Layered thread necklace – two or three thread strands in one or more colours with small stones spaced along them.
- Bridal necklace set – choker, matching earrings and a tikli or maang tikka in one colour scheme, made together with the bangle set.
Length and fit
Chokers are made with a dori closure, so they adjust to any neck size. Pendant necklaces are made in 16, 18 or 20 inch lengths; tell us which you need. If you are unsure, measure a necklace you already own from end to end, or measure around your neck and add two inches for a standard fit.
Materials
Silk thread over a fabric or plastic base for the band; kundan glass stones in gold-tone foil; brass chain and findings. Handmade necklaces should be stored flat and kept dry, the same as silk thread bangles. How to order
Send us the bangle set you want to match, or a photo of your outfit, together with the style and length. Custom handmade necklaces take 4–7 working days because the thread work is longer than on a bangle. Delivery is by courier to any district in Bangladesh; see the delivery locations page. We sell only within Bangladesh.
Common questions about handmade necklaces
Does the dori closure hold?
Yes. The tie is a double thread cord; tie it twice and it stays in place through a full day. It also lets one necklace fit different people.
Can a choker be made wider or narrower?
Yes. Standard width is about 2.5 cm; we make from 1.5 cm to 4 cm on request.
How is a necklace packed for courier?
Flat on a card with the pendant taped down, inside a rigid box, so the stones do not rub or the thread kink in transit.
