Jhilik is a handmade jewelry workshop in Feni, Bangladesh. We make silk thread bangles, kundan rings, earrings and necklaces by hand and sell them to customers in all 64 districts of the country. We do not import finished jewelry and we do not sell outside Bangladesh.
What we make
The core of the range is the silk thread bangle: a base ring wrapped by hand in silk thread and decorated with kundan stones and gold-tone wire. From there we make matching pieces – adjustable kundan rings, thread and kundan earrings, and thread chokers and pendant necklaces – so a customer can wear one consistent set. Everything is listed under four categories: Bangles, Rings, Earrings and Necklaces.
How a handmade jewelry workshop in Feni works
Each piece is made by one person from start to finish. A plain bangle takes about half an hour to wrap; a bridal set with stone work takes two days including drying time. We describe the process in detail in how silk thread bangles are made. Because pieces are made to order, we can match a thread colour to a photo of your outfit and make any wrist size, including sizes that are not sold ready-made.
Where we are
The workshop is in Feni Sadar, in Feni District, Chattogram Division. Feni is on the Dhaka–Chittagong highway, which is why courier delivery to both Dhaka and Chittagong takes only one to two days.
